After a summer of great business (for which we are supremely grateful), it's time to bring some additional hands on deck!

Gone Fishin’ Marine and sister –store Ride On Powersports are hosting a Casting Call the nights of December 6th and 7th from 6 -9pm.

We’re looking to train and ramp up our staff for the upcoming 2018 season and we need you! If you’ve ever been interested in what the boating/powersports industry is all about, we’d like to meet you.

You’ll never know until you come and see!

No resume is necessary; just a simple bio about yourself. No experience is necessary and all training is provided.  

Just call the number above on Wednesday, November 29th between 2pm and 5pm to get registered. You must register in order to be able to attend the casting call.

Speed Racer Henson Leads Ultimate Bass University on Sept 17th!

Preston's taking the fear out of the phrase "suspended fish...." Tuesday, September 17th at 6:30pm

Make it a point to be here at Gone Fishin' for Ultimate Bass University this Tuesday- it's a special one!  We've been looking forward to the opportunity to have Preston Henson give a UBU class, and it's finally time!

Preston has been on our pro staff for several years, and joined our sales staff and Ramtown Racing just this year- but his history as a bass angler goes waaaaay back.  He's definitely on our MVP list when it comes to customers rolling through looking for where and how to fish the tough stuff.

Speaking of tough stuff.  Preston's plan is to dispel a little bit of the panic that rises at the mention of "suspended fish."  Like it or not, it's crucial to know how to handle them when you have a tournament to win or a buddy to impress.... Bass will not move according to your fishin' schedule, as it turns out.

So on the roster, you'll get some good insights for:
-Working vertical structure (namely pilings, since we enjoy so many of them in the area)
- A few open water techniques
- Spooning
- Dart heads
- Drop shot

In other words, bring your notebook!

Triton Owners Tournament!

Call out to the Triton boat owners out there!  The dates are 4-6 October 2013- so now you have everything you need.  Time to get your spot in this year's TOT West, get your slip reserved at Konocti Harbor, make sure your room or RV spot is ready to go, and start rigging those rods for a gorgeous fall weekend on Clear Lake!

People come from far and wide just for the Clear Lake fishing, let alone the camaraderie of hanging out with only people who own the world's greatest boats.  For those who "don't do tournaments," a word:  It's not a crazy, high-stakes, winner-take-all, cutthroat competition.  It's just fun.  Lots of anglers abandon their regular fishing partners in favor of their spouses, kids, or a tackle shop buddy.  It's not a Pro Am, it's not a Pro Team, it's pro fun.  Kind of like Whose Line is it Anyway- "everything's made up and the points don't matter!"

Other fun for the weekend: cocktail hour(s), a really nice banquet dinner, valuable raffle prizes (that don't hinge on whether you fished well), your awesome western Triton dealer close at hand, a huge group of excellent people, and Rich and Sue in boat number one!!
